Pixel Velocity is a private company formed in July 2001 in Ann Arbor, Michigan, a focal point for image processing research and advanced sensors technology. Pixel Velocity is strategically located to capitalize on the expertise of multiple technology organizations and local universities and prides itself on close interaction and partnering with our customers to develop technically superior, yet cost effective, solutions for their most challenging problems.
Leveraging the founding team's 25 years experience solving the defense industry's most challenging imaging applications, Pixel Velocity has brought together a unique combination of processing chips, proprietary programming tools, and image processing expertise to capitalize on the need for better quality image data. During Pixel Velocity's initial five years of operation, the team created and patented a set of core technologies that form the backbone of a product family capable of providing a consistent means of addressing diverse applications and accelerating time to market.
